The rail strike originally planned for today and tomorrow by Spain's train drivers union has been cancelled at the last minute.
The two day strike action had been called by union leaders as a protest over what was termed 'differences of opinion' with the management over planned procedural changes.
The strike was cancelled in the early hours of this morning following a lengthy meeting was reached between RENFE senior management and leaders of the SEMAF union. It is beleieved that this was in exchange for a new shift calendar for drivers being agreed to.
