José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero is scheduled to meet with the Directors of Spain's most prominent corporations this coming weekend, to discuss ways to improve foreign investment, thereby creating employment and improving the economy.
The Prime Minister will host the meeting at the Moncloa Palace in the capital, however representatibes of Banesto, Bankinter and Banco Sabadell have confirmed that they will not be attending.
Amongst those who have confirmed attendance are : BBVA; Santander; Banco Popular; Caja Madrid and La Caixa from the Banking sector.
Iberdrola, Gamesa, Endesa, Gas Natural-Unión Fenosa, Repsol,Cepsa and YPF will represnt the Utilities sector, and ACS, FCC, Acciona, Ferrovial, OHL, and Sacyr-Vallehermoso will represent the construction sector.
Sol Meliá and Iberia will attend the meeting on behalf of the Tourism Industry, with consumer speanding being represented by El Corte Inglés, Mercadona, Ebro Foods and Inditex.
Others notable attendees include Anfac, Telefónica, Indra, Mondragón, Grifols, Mapfre and Telecinco.
