Non-resident participation in Spain's 3-year debt auction on Thursday was higher than usual at above 60 percent, a source close to the issue said.
"There's been more non-residents than usual. Above 60 percent" the source said.
The Treasury easily issued 2.47 billion euros ($3.26 billion) of 3-year, 2.5 percent coupon bonds though at a much higher yield than in October as nervous investors demand higher premiums for debt from the euro zone periphery countries.
