Changes at Spain's Gibraltar Office

 

A few slight bt notable changes have taken place over the last few days at the Gibraltar office within the Spanish foreign ministry. At the moment it remains to be seen if it is anything more significant than a mere name change.

On Friday of last week the Spanish official gazette reported that the official name for the 'Office of Gibraltar Affairs' will change to to simply 'Gibraltar Office' (or, in Spanish from 'Oficina de Asuntos de Gibraltar' to 'Oficina de Gibraltar').

The new entity will fall under the responsibility of the director-general of external politics, Europe and security.
