Potential investors and buyers of Spanish property might be interested to learn that the property market in the Balearic islands is improving.
According to Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), there was a positive growth of 18.4 per cent on figures from the previous year.
Indeed, 9,678 properties were sold in 2010, with the island of Mallorca forecast to see this growth continue.
If you are among the people snapping up properties in the Balearics to start a new life with your family you might want to double check your medical plan to see that all your overseas health insurance needs are covered before you move abroad since life in a new country and climate can bring a range of unexpected health issues.
Jan Pratt from Shortcuts Property Search, commented: "We have registered a marked increase in new clients and inquiries in the last three months, compared to last year at this time.
"Confidence seems to be growing and buyers who were waiting for the market to bottom out are now returning."
