Spain's Ministry of Industry have announced that electricity bills will not increase further this year following the 9.8% increase introduced at the end of late year.
Energy prices have almost doubled over the course of the last three years.
The Industry Ministry referred to the previous icreases as being both 'unavoidable and necessary', however, they also stated that they were introduced under exceptional circumstances that would not be repeated, unless of an international incident which would effect domestic oil prices.
