People considering living abroad might want to look into planning things like expatriate medical insurance as it has been suggested that things are "not always greener" overseas.
Rhiannon Davies, director of Shelter Offshore, urged people to "think carefully about the legitimacy of their dreams of their new life" abroad before they make the leap.
Indeed, once they've picked their dream country, expatriates will still have to think about finding a job, looking for affordable accommodation and coming to terms to food and customs that are likely to differ somewhat from what they are used to.
"The daily pressures of life will still be a reality", Ms Davies asserted.
Organising medical health insurance before you move will allow you some peace of mind that one of the most important things is covered.
Ms Davies' comments come after a report from the Post Office revealed that 70 per cent of expatriates would rank themselves as very happy with their new life overseas.
