Following an explosion of interest from Spanish speaking countries, HootSuite have launched full integration of their Twitter technology for Spanish speaking users. This now enables businesses, professionals and the wider public from over 20 new countries to access Twitter using their first language.
HootSuite is a popular social media dashboard whereis n all communications can be tailored and managed from one screen, with in excess of 1.5 million users worldwide.
HootSuite has now been fully translated into Spanish, but the project began over 6 months ago with a profile (@HootSuite_ES) launched on Twitter to offer support in the Spanish language. A dedicated languages on the help desk feature was then lauched, followed by Spanish-translated Info Sheets and Case Studies to provide industry knowledge and information. Additionally, Spanish versions of the mobile applications were released in Autumn 2010 for iPhone/iPad, BlackBerry, and Android to positive reaction.
Spanish-speaking HootSuite users are the companies fastest growing demographic - increasing by more than 100% in the last few months, with Spain itself accounting for one-third of all new users.
Twitter is the most popular of all social networks in Spain, acccounting for 54% of all useage.
