One person was killed and four others were injured when a passenger train carrying 205 people hit an car in Toro, Zamora, railway officials reported.
The Talgo train, which was on the Galicia to Alicante route, hit the Car at a crossing near the Montelarreina station on Saturday, representatives of state-owned railway company RENFE said.
No one aboard the train was injured in the accident, the RENFE officials said.
The engine was affected by the accident, which did not damage any of the train's cars, and RENFE sent another engine so the train could continue on its journey after a short delay.
