Europa Press have reported how responsibility for the training of employees at Murcia's soon to be opened Corvera airport has now been agreed.
Training for any staff employed by the airport will be undertaken by the Employment and Training Service (SEF) and the Murcia Regional authorities.
The authorites wish to make it clear than no other body is responsible for such training and to be aware of any unauthorised party offering training for an 'enrolment fee' with an offer of future employment at the airport.
The recruitment and then subsequent vocational training of the following positions will take place: airport security guards; admin staff; airport services; airport cleaning; Support; on-site catering; assistance for people with reduced mobility; ramp operator; service technician; technical operations; airport environment.
The new airport will create an estimated 850 much needed jobs in the region. The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, responded to accusations that the job opportunities were 'closed' to those not living in the immediate vacinity : "is completely false that you are discriminating against any worker of Cartagena, or any other town in the region, for the simple reason that is open to anyone interested."
