Earlier today Banco Pastor announced how they expect to pass the stress tests conducted on the EU's banking sector, and will not require additional financing.
Banco Pastor is one of Spain's smaller cajas, with a EUR800 million market value, and had previously been named as on of the banks likely to fail the tests due to its low capital ratios. The Bank has confirmed that recent measures in raising funds to reinforce its capital base. have been successful.
The stress tests are intended to increase investor confidence in the EU's banking industry, and have led to widespread speculation over which Spanish banks and cajas will or will not pass.
Test results will be officially published on Friday.
