Spanish newspaper, Expansion, has reported how the central region of Castilla-La Mancha has published their 6 monthly accounts, detailing how budget deficit was almost 6% of GDP, at a financial value of nearly 2 Billion Euros.
The Spanish central government set a maximum deficit target of 1.3 % of GDP for the country's regions for 2011.
The region also has about 1.7 billion euros of unpaid bills, compared with the 700 million euros that had already been disclosed by the previous regional administration, prior to losing the regional elections in May.
The new PP administration had previously described the region as being 'practically bankrupt'.
