Protesting UGT Union members forced the closure of the border between Gibraltar and La Linea yesterday, repeating last week's incident when the road was blocked for around an hour.
The Union Members are continuing their protest over the 850 employees of La Linea Municipal Council who have gone unpaid since April of this year.
The group, numbering around 50, forced the closure of the road by piling it with tyres and setting light to them.
Jose Porras, Union leader for the Cadiz area told the press : "We've been protesting every day, but we have had to come and burn tires and cut off the access to Gibraltar, like we did last week, because there is no other way to get them to listen" .
