Two further earthquake measuring 1.6 and 2.5 on the Richter scale struck the Murcian Town of Lorca in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Almost 3 months to the day since the two larger earthquakes measuring 4.6 and 5.2 caused devastation that is even now being addressed, the last two earthquakes caused more apprehension than it did damage.
Tumbit Director Dan Brammall was in the Town when the first quake struck at around 3.30 am "With much of Alicante and Murcia being in the grip of a heatwave, along with local fiestas a lot of people were still awake at that time - I'm not sure I would have even noticed it if I had been asleep at the time."
Dan, who visits the Town regularly to see family living there has witnessed the full effects of the previous two earthquakes, together with the efforts of the locals to rebuild their town. "Although the last two earthquakes were not that serious in the great scheme of things, it is the fact that they have happened in the same area, so soon after the earlier quakes, that has caused a certain amount of unease and apprehension amongst the locals.
