Spain's Ministry of Industry, trade and Tourism released data earlier today showing how tourism for the month of July increased by 7.2% on the same period last year, with the number of visitors to the country reaching 7.48 Million people.
The Netherlands topped the table for the largest annual growth by nationality, based on the month of July, at 32%, followed by Switzerland with 29.2% and Belgium with 23.5%. Arrivals from Italy and Ireland advanced 17.2% and 11.1% respectively.
The year to date figures until the end of July, international tourist arrivals as a whole increased 7.4% year on year to reach 32.27 million. The number of visitors from the Netherlands rose 25.8% for the same period, with Belgians standing at 15%.
