The Canary Island of Gran Canaria felt an earthquake earlier this week.
A quake measuring 3.4 on the richter scale, and with an epicentre off the coast of the Playa del Ingles struck at 2.15pm in the afternoon.
Although there was no reported injuries or damage to property, the incident was unsettling and prompted over 1'000 calls to the emergency services by the public.
The Islands have been feeling many minor tremors over the last two months, with as many as 4'000 being felt on the neighbouring island of El Hierro during July alone.
