Vueling has won a 'Budgie' award in recognition of it's website, which promotes ease of use and quick and simple ticket sales.
The Spanish budget airline, which has it's central base of operations at Barcelona's El Prat airport, offers 550 domestic and international routes, was also nominated in two other categories at the award ceremony.
The Budgie Awards acknowledgment number of different aspects of the low cost airline industry and Vueling competed against many leading names such as Easyjet, Germanwings, Spirit, SkyExpress, Wizz Air and Virgin Australia.
The CEO of Vueling Alex Cruz, who was named best CEO in 2010, collected the award : "This recognises the ongoing work of all the young people at Vueling who develop new and innovative products and services as a daily challenge to pursue the growth of the company and our industry."
The 2011 award marks the third consecutive year that the airline has received an award in one of the 'Budgie' categories.
