Travelodge has opened a further hotel in Valencia, bringing their total within the country to four and with the lastest 116 room hotel being located at the City's airport.
Two further hotels are located in Madrid and one at el Hospitalet in Barcelona.
Work has already begun on a fifth 250 room hotel - and a second for Barcelona - on the building of a new 250-bedroom hotel at Poble Nou, due to open in spring 2013.
The five hotels with represent a total investiture of £40m and will result in the creation of 66 new jobs.
Work is expected to commence on a further two hotels within the next six months.
Travelodge's aim is to have 100 Hotels in Key Spanish Towns and Cities by 2025. The latest opening now means that the group has 485 operational hotels worldwide providing some 34,342 rooms.
