A revision of the UK's stringent and antiquainted Quarantine laws by DEFRA (The Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) means that it will now be much cheaper and easier to travel in and out of the UK with your Pet.
Changes to the current proceedures, which will take effect from January 1st 2012, will bring UK regulations into line with the rest of the EU and could save travellers and estimated £7 Million per year in fees.
Pets travelling into the UK from Spain will no longer be subject to a six month period of quarantine and although they will requie a Rabies vaccination, they will not require a blood test and will only need to wait 21 days before they can travel.
