The airline has apparently tried to justify these actions to both airport officials and to passengers alike by claiming that they have only made move after consultation with their passengers.
According to Ryanair, of the 22,000 passengers who completed and returned their in-flight customer survey, more than 90% of them believed AENA should allow the embarking and disembarking by foot at El Altet.
93% of passengers were unwilling to pay more expensive rates to cover the cost of air bridges, and more than 90% of Passengers who participated in the survey called upon AENA to reverse their decision.
Statistics clearly grabbed out of thin air by Ryanair bean-counters as a feeble attempt to justify their actions.
Just hours later Ryanair announced that the cuts "Were reversible" and that the airline would be planning their Sping / Summer scheduled over the coming weeks. Blackmail anyone ...?
