The Political candidate for Murcia's Izquierda Unida Verdes - IUV (Socialist Green Party), Pedro Costa, has criticised a number of development projects which are either proposed or ongoing within the region.
Costa went on to accuse the region's Partido Popular government of "looting the CAM" (in reference to the troubled Caja), and went on to slam the "exceptional depravity" of the Marina de Cope project and "negligence and treachery" of the regional government in promoting other "particularly foolish" projects "which lacked social interest", such as the Paramount Pictures Theme Park, and the port of Gorguel at Cartagena.
