The Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have begun oversight inspection activities for Corvera airport.T he agency will follow a series of simulations to verify the correct functioning of all processes and systems as well as airport facilities and, if approved, will issue the appropriate licences and certification.
This is an essential requirement before the airport can commence operations, and the start of this phase has been reported to the Concessionaire (IMRA), whose representatives moved to Madrid last October to apply for the certification and to compile the manual of airport plan self-protection and safety program.
Over the coming months, EASA will review all available documentation before giving the approval to starting the next phase of testing.
The Concessionaire of Corvera airport, Aeromur, expects that the airport will be fully licenced and operational by Summer 2012.
