Spanish consumer association, FACUA, has reported to the airline Ryanair to the Health and Consumer Affairs authorities over their sale of `Miracle´ watches on their flights.
The bracelet-watches claim to enhance health and well-being through containing beneficial properties in the form of a `magic´ mineral cal Tourmaline.
The description of the product in Ryanair´s inflight magazine speaks of the ability to the bracelet to "enhance concentration and give a natural detoxification of the body" as well as being able to "improve sleep, relaxation, meditation," and "the vitality and movement" .
Spain´s National Consumer Institute (INC) of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality has referred the case to their counterparts in Ireland, where Ryanair is based, and the UK, where the bracelets are manufactured.
The bracelets, under the `Breo´brand name, were being sold in Spain on the Internet, but FACUA have confirmed that the UK authorities have closed the Spanish site under investigation of false advertising.
