Telefonica now controls less than 50 percent of the Spanish broadband market after losing three points in market share in the past year, Expansion reported, citing data from the country's telecommunications regulator.
The company is also at risk of falling below a 40 percent market share in mobile services after losing 71,000 clients in October and 78,000 in September, despite applying discounts, the newspaper added.
I welcome this news ! - At best it is a wake up call for Telefonica and will make them improve their service and lower costs, at worst it is simply Payback for the years of neglect they have shown their clients. I just feel sorry for those who live in areas where there is no alternative than to carry on using them !
About time too. As a user for many many years of Telefonica, I can honestly say that they are the worst company that I have ever had dealings with !
