Murcia Judge fined for abuses and insults

 

El Pais has reported how an unnamed high court judge from Murcia has been fined 3,000 euros for insulting homosexuals, single mothers and immigrants, and the CCOO union, who filed the complaint.

The fine was handed down by the Civil Registry against the judge, who, according to a CCOO statement, would use profanity to describe same-sex married couples; "whores" to refer to single mothers; and "deceivers" for immigrants who married Spanish partners "just to get their nationality." While it said that it was satisfied that the judge was finally fined "after many years of abuses," the CCOO said the penalty was lenient in light of the many years of insults and abuses that the judge had made over the previous seven years."
