Striking pilots forced the cancellation of 111 Iberia Airlines flights over Friday and Saturday, with further strikes planned for this week.
The STAVLA, CTA and CNT unions representing ground crew and cabin crew will also join the pilots in their action, whilst the CCOO and UGT unions decided not to support the action.
Routes between mainland Spain and the Balearics and Canaries were maintained, whilst 5 long haul, 49 medium haul and 56 domestic routes were cancelled.
In today's action 121 of the 321 scheduled flights have been cancelled, and a further protest on Friday this week will lead to 107 cancellations off with cancelled flights on both Thursday and Saturday.
A further day of strike action is planned for Weds 29th Feb.
The strike action continues in protest over the airline's creation of the Iberia Express low cost airline in answer to increasing competition from other budget airlines. The airline is due to be launched on March 25th.
