Spain's Minister of Development, Ana Pastor, yesterday spoke with the Portuguese Minister of Development, Alvaro Santos Pereira, to express an interest in RENFE and AENA in bidding for the purchase of LUCAS - the soon to be privatized operator owned by the Portuguese Government.
Ana Pastor spoke to the press following her meeting with the Potuguese Minister in Lisbon yesterday, telling reporters how RENFE (The National Railways Operator) and AENA (The Spanish Airports Authority), may be interested in taking over the Portuguese operations of LUCAS and that together they may become "operators of international repute".
