The Secretary General for the PSPV in the Region of Valencia, Jorge Alarte, yesterday visited the province of Castellon.
Following on from comments last week which were openly critical of airport by José Manuel García-Margallo, the Spanish Foreign Minister, Alarte told the press that "Castellon airport can not be the laughing stock of Spain."
The socialist politician continue, saying how the Regional Government must sit down with both the Ministry of Development, AENA and airlines in prder to find a viable plan for the future of Castellon airport.
Alarte defended the need for an airport in the province and confirmed it's position of importance for the economy of the area.
