The Generalitat Valenciana yesterday approved the creation of a commission to prepare and oversee the sale of Castellon Airport , following news earlier in the week that an offer of €200 Mln to buy the facility had been made by a Libyan Investment group.
This was confirmed by the spokeman for the Generalitat, José Císcar, and the Minister of Economy and Tourism, Maximum Buch.
The pair explained that the object of the commission would be to coordinate all aspects of the sale, and to ensure that all procedures were carried out legally and correctly.
Buch maintained that it was important to do everything possible to ensure that the Airport was open "this year", whilst earlier Carlos Fabra hoped that it would become operational by the end of June.
