The establishment of new routes by budget airline Ryanair, will help bring thousands more passengers to Spain this summer.
Earlier this week the Airline announced the creation of new routes from Shannon, Ireland, to Palma de Mallorca and Malaga airports. Frequencies are expected to be between 2 and 3 times per week, with the Palma route operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Mondays, with flights to Malaga operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays during the May to October Summer period.
Elsewhere, the airline also announced that flights from Prestwick, Scotland, to Barcelona would continue to be provided on the busy summer schedules.
Ryanair introduced the route late last year to operate between November and January, but its popularity has seen the airline make the decision to make it a more permanent feature on list of routes offered.
Earlier this year the Spanish Office of Tourism commented how they expected the number of foreign visitors coming to Spain in 2013 to be 9% up on last year.
