The Spanish youth and Females in particular are bearing the brunt of the current economic crisis in Spain, with official data showing they had the worst unemployment rates in the European Union during the month of October.
The figures, published by EU statistics agency Eurostat last Tuesday, showed that the unemployment figures for those under 25 stood at 42.9 % during October - 9% higher than the next highest country - Latvia.
The number of jobless women in Spain was recorded at 19.2% - also the highest in Europe, according to Eurostat.
The average level of unemployment in the eurozone stood at 9.8% in October, while in Spain it was 19.3%, second only to Latvia's 20.9%.
