Spain's current account deficit stood at €1.30 billion by the end of February, down from a deficit of €5.88 billion in the same month a year earlier, largely due to a lower trade deficit, the Bank of Spain announced earlier today.
The trade deficit alone stood at €600.8 million in February, down from €3.19 billion in the same month last year, as exports rose 4.4% while imports dropped 8.2%.
Spain also registered capital inflows of €10.82 billion after €30.37 billion in January.
