The UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office has confirmed that the British Ambasador to Spain, Giles Paxman, has been recalled from duties in Spain.
The Younger brother of Broadcaster Jeremy Paxman was summoned to address the Spanish Government due to hightened tensions surrounding the "Gibraltar issue" in November of last year.
Whilst it is unclear what, if any, role Paxman might have in future, he will be replaced as British Ambasador in Spain by Simon Manley.
Manley, 45, is currently the FCO Director for Europe and will take up his new role in October.
