Spanish national consumer prices rose 2.1% year-on-year in June according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Friday, the fastest rise since March on higher fuel costs.
June's rise compared to 1.7% in May and was in line with a Reuters poll forecast.
Spanish European Union-harmonised prices rose 2.2% from a year earlier, up from 1.8% in May and also in line with the Reuters forecast.
Core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, was 2.0% year on year, unchanged from a month earlier.
