The number of A/H1N1 flu cases in Spain continued to decline sharply, the Spanish Ministry of Health said Thursday. The 29th Nov - Dec. 5th period saw the second fall in two weeks with regards to recorded incidents of A/H1N1 flu in Spain.
The figures confirm the Spanish government's prediction that A/H1N1cases would peak at the end of November.
The number of known cases now stands at 151.42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants with 67,665 new cases registered during the week, according to figures released by the health ministry.
Only 1 week previously this number stood at 243.71 cases per 100,000 with 105.304 new cases reported.
The virus has now claimed a total of 208 lives in Spain, although the mortality rate remains low at 0.18 deaths per 1000 cases.
