The Ministry of Public Works has approved the construction of an extension to the A7 Mediterranean Highway to reach the outskirts of the town of Alhama de Murcia.
Mayor Alfonso Fernando Ceron also confirmed the approval of the General Directorate of Traffic and the Ministry of the Environment, who were satisfied that the environmental impact of the new highway would be minimal.
The new highway will allow visitors to access the Paramount Pictures Theme Park, currently in the early stages of construction and scheduled to open to the public in the spring of 2016.
