Gran Canaria Airport on Sunday saw the launch of a new route to Manchester, with Ryanair operating flights each Wednesday and Sunday.
In total the airline has scheduled 60 flights to and from the Island, serving an estimated 22,680 passengers during the Summer season of 2014, which began on the 30th March.
This new service has been made possible by the Airline's provision of 2 new Boeing 737-800 Aircraft, which can each serve 180 passengers.
The new route to Manchester further adds to the number of of flights offered from Gran Canaria airport, served by Air Europa; British Airways; Jet2; Thomas Cook; Thomson Airways; Monarch Airlines; EasyJet; Norwegian and Small Planet Airlines, bringing a combined total of total of 4,411 flight and 871,650 passengers seats.
The new Manchester route also complements flights currently offered from Gran Canaria to Belfast; Birmingham; Bristol; Bournemouth; Cardiff; East Midlands; Edinburgh; Exeter; Glasgow; Liverpool; Leeds; London Heathrow; London Gatwick; London Stansted; London Luton; Newcastle; Prestwick and Robin Hood / Doncaster.
