The amount of money spent by foreign tourists in Spain increased by 8.1% in Q1 of 2014, compared with the same period in 2013, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism reported on Monday.
Spending rose to €10.066 bln in Q1, according to the ministry, which also reported that average daily spending per tourist stood at €113, while the average spending per tourist increased to €999.
Meanwhile, international tourists spent €3.982 bln in March alone, which meant a 6.6% increase compared with the same month in 2013, according to the ministry.
