Spanish airline Iberia has requested that travelers flying with them to the United States to check themselves in at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled take off time.
The extension from 2 to 3 hours is largely due to the extra security measures being requested by the United States on all incoming flights, which has resulted in additional controls on passengers at the boarding gate.
Iberia are also requesting that all hand baggage is kept to a minimum, and that passengers present themselves at the boarding gate earlier than before because of the extra control there aswell.
