Spain's industrial production rose by 0.6% in October when compared with the same month in 2013, according to the Index of Industrial Production (IPI) published by the Spanish Statistical Office (INE) on Friday.
According to the INE, production of consumer goods rose by 1.1%, with non-durable consumer goods production increasing by 1.3% and production of non-durable consumer goods falling by 0.9%.
Production of intermediate goods increased by 3.1%, while production of capital goods and energy fell by 0.7% and 3.1% respectively.
The INE also said that industrial production in the country fell by 0.5% from September to October. Production of durable consumer goods increased by 2.5% and production of intermediate goods increased by 0.6% on a month-to-month basis.
On the contrary, production of energy fell by 3.3% from September to October and production of capital goods fell by 0.7%.
