Movistar / Telefonica has launched a multi-device cloud storage product for its Spanish users in a bid to compete with international services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive and Box.
The new service - dubbed Movistar Cloud - gives customers three different options depending on their specific needs.
Users can opt for 20 GB of cloud-based storage for EU 1 per month (including IVA), 100 GB for EUR 2 per month, or unlimited storage for EUR 5 per month.
Movistar Cloud can be accessed from PCs (Windows or Mac OSX) or mobile devices (Android, iOS or Windows Phone. In addition, users can sync contacts and calendars on all their devices via Microsoft Outlook and import contacts from Gmail.
There is no permanence clause and, to coincide with the launch, those subscribing to the 20 GB option will be given two months' free access.
