Allianz expects itsshare of damages from European wind storm Xynthia at the weekend to be in the 100-300 million euro ($137-$410 million) range, itsaid on Thursday.
Xynthia, which blasted parts of Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and the low countries over the weekend with winds up to 166 kilometres/hour, is expected to have caused overall insured damages in the low billion-euro range, Allianz said.
Europe's biggest insurer said it had no concrete estimatesyet for its share of losses from the devastating 8.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Chile over the weekend, but said it expected its loss there would be less than the hit from Xynthia.
