A 47 years old resident of nearby Letur, was gored to death at the Bull-running fiesta of Molinicos (Albacete) this weekend.
The Town's Mayor, Jose Molina Gonzalez, said how witnesses only became aware of the presence of one Bull being close to the Victim, who did not notice the second bull, which gored him with fatal consequences. "It was bad luck," said the Mayor.
The victim was treated at the scene by Emergency Professionals and taken to the nearby clinic at Elche de la Sierra, where he was declared dead.
The Ministry of health confirmed that how the health Centre's had immediately dialled the 112 medical emergency telephone number due to the seriousness of the injuries and to request an emergency helicopter to be sent, but unfortunately the man died before it could arrive.
The remaining few days of the Fiesta has been cancelled as a mark of respect.
This marks the fourth such death at a bull-running event this year following the deaths of a 29 year old man in Xativa (Valencia), a 50 year old man at Rafelbunyol (Valencia) and a 74 year old man in Lodosa (Navarra).
