The American Ford Motor Group has unveiled plans to invest 812 million euros into it's plant at Almusafes, south of the city of Valencia.
The CEO of Ford Europe, Stephen Odell, announced the move earlier today and spoke of the creation of hundreds of jobs, which comes at a time when the country is battling with a 21% unemployment rate.
The investment will create assembly lines for two new models of vehicle: the all-terrain Kuga and the new Transit Connect commercial vehicle.
Spain's MInister for Industry, welcomed the move and said how the investment will not only guarantee the future of the Almusafes plant for decades, buy demonstrates that Spain is still a viable country to invest in.
