Spanish banks borrowed 44 billion euros from the European Central Bank in March, down from 51 billion euros in February, data from the bank of Spain showed Thursday, reflecting improving funding conditions.
Net borrowing, taking off the amount banks redeposited at the ECB, was 41 billion euros, down from 49 billion euros in February.
