Following the stores in Madrid and Barcelona, and the confirmation of another soon to open in Valencia, Marbella has been named as the next Spanish city to host an Apple Store.
Apple is already advertising for staff on the jobs section of its website, noting that it will be located in La Cañada. The facility would have a size greater than the shops in Madrid and Barcelona and could open as early as November.
Just a few weeks ago Apple opened their third store in Leganes, south of Madrid. The next to open will be in Valencia, and then Marbella, which will be their largest store in Spain at 1'700 square meters - almost as large as the Madrid and Barcelona stores combined.
The opening of the stores demonstrates Apple's commitment to the Spanish market, but the location and size is thought to be in order to take advantage of the many tourists who visit the Town, the fact that Marbella is a relatively affluent area, and that it can be accessed by potential customers living in Cadiz or Sevilla.
Even though work has already begun on the store, Apple have made no formal announcement with regards to an opening date.
