Spain's Ministry for Development is moving forward with the partial privatisation of the Spanish Airports Authority (AENA), now that an agreement has been reached between AENA management and representatives of the airport workers unions.
Deputy Prime Minister, José Blanco, commented that the objectives laid out by the Government will be achieved and that Madrid and Barcelona airports will be put out to tender before the end of the year.
The Government intends to privatise 49% of AENA, and Blanco said the country's two main airports would be offered after the bids for airport control towers are received over the course of Thursday.
