Ryanair have hit back against reports in the press this weekend - notably by the Financial Times and Daily Telegraph - who quoted Members of the "Ryanair Pilots Group" in their criticism of the airline's fuel policy.
Ryanair claim that the 'Ryanair Pilot Group' is in fact a 'Non Ryanair Pilot Group', and has been created as a front for the European Cockpit Association, who the airline claims, represent the trade unions of their competitors.
Ryanair also pointed out that the "Chairman" of the Group, Evert Van Zwol, is in fact a serving KLM pilot and recent President of the Dutch Pilot Union.
Ryanair also claim that the results of the "Ryanair Pilots survey" published were fabricated by the European Cockpit Association (ECA) to cause trouble by raising questions over the airline's safety record.
