The BBC has reported how Spain's Benicassim festival will still go ahead in 2013, despite the event's promoter going into administration last month.
The event has now been bought back from administrators by Vince Power, who was previously in charge of the Music Festivals Company before it collapsed after his personal loan of £750,000 to the company failed to keep it solvent.
Following this year's loss-making event the company was worth just £310,000.
Vince Power opened his first venue, The Mean Fiddler, in northwest London in 1982 before going on to launch numerous other events, including the Reading Festival. In 2002, he took operational control of Glastonbury and sold Mean Fiddler in 2005 for £38 million.
Benicassim 2013 is scheduled to take place between the 18th and 21st of July, with the line up yet to be announced.
Further uncertainty remains with how punters can actually travel to the venue this year. With as many as 60'000 people attending the event over previous years, Aerocas - the owners of Castellon Airport - would be well advised to take note. Whilst Benicassim is ideally located just 17 Miles from the Airport at Villa D'Alcolea, the airport has yet to receive a single flight since "opening" almost 18 months ago. Whilst the President of Aerocas, Carlos Fabra, has said how the facility will be operational by January, it is understood that the required licences are still to be awarded.
