The Regional Government of Aragon has found agreement with Ryanair that the airline will continue to fly into Zaragoza airport until March 31st of 2012.
Only two weeks ago the region announced that they could no longer afford to pay the 4 Million Euros per year to Rynair, and as such it was widely expected that the airline would pull out of the airport completely.

However, Regional Minister Rafael Fernández de Alarcón has met with representatives of Ryanair to agree interim payment up until March of next year, by which time it is hoped that a new agreement can be made.
Sr Alarcón explained that Ryanair's presence in Zaragoza will continue as before, with the exception of the routes to Malaga and Alicante being dropped, however it is hoped that routes to London and Brussels will increase in number in the new year.
A further meeting has been planned for early December to ensure that Zaragoza airport and Ryanair will continue to work together from the end of March 2012.
